Since the beginning of the Walt Disney Company, figurines and other licensed merchandise have played a major role in bringing some of the animation magic into the homes of Disney fans and collectors.  Knowing the demand for quality 3D reproductions of Disney feature film characters, the Walt Disney Classics Collection (WDCC) emerged.  It was in July of 1992, at the South Bend Collectible Show, where after three years of exhaustive research, Disney unveiled the initial set of the WDCC porcelain figurines to the general public. The sculptures were breathtaking, capturing detail and emotion unlike any figurines Disney had ever produced.  Through expert artisans and innovative manufacturing techniques, Disney has since created hundreds of 3D sculptures of unprecedented quality to be passed along for generations to come.  [ More... ]
