| The event began with guests
registering at the ticket and transportation center within the Walt
Disney World Resort, Orlando, Florida. The event was sold out,
totaling 999 guests. Registration began at 10 am, with long
lines forming very quickly. Every guest
received a registration gift of a "Doom Buggy" License plate
(shown above). Guests also received their ID lanyards (shown at
right), which not only was their
pass into the event, but also good for admission into the Magic
Kingdom theme park after 4 pm. At this time, people also received
their merchandise lists. By mail, before the event, guests entered
into the random selection process (RSP) to get a chance to purchase
the very limited edition event-exclusive merchandise that was available. At
registration, guests found out what they were able to purchase. For a complete
look at all the merchandise, visit our
event merchandise page. By the time of the event, most merchandise was sold
out. Only logo pins, t-shirts, and bobble heads were in supply. However, due to a glitch in the
merchandise booklet, some lucky eventeers found out that the Master
Gracey pin (pictured right) was a limited edition of 250 rather than 100
as originally stated. This meant that those who were told they
had not received the pin had a second chance through a second RSP. In addition, a new event-exclusive pin
set, not previously advertised was available, limited to only
350. This glow-in-the-dark pin set was comprised of three pins
within a coffin gift box ( shown below). |

The
guests stood in a second line for the coffin pin set
RSP. Cheers could be heard from those who got
a number under 350 from the RSP computer station,
enabling them to purchase the pin set. Within
the same location, two other festivities were ongoing:
a "Buried Pin Dig" and "Commemorative
photos". The buried pin dig consisted of
three buckets of Disney pins in which guests could
each pull out one (shown below). The pins were
wrapped in plastic and encased within a Happy Haunts
logo sticker. The pins were open edition from
the WDW resort parks. |

For the commemorative photo,
digital pictures were taken of each guest
to be picked up at the conclusion of the event. Each
photo was watermarked with the Haunted Mansion event logo
(shown below) to commemorate the event.
