The 2003 Disneyana Convention was never realized.  The logo above is not the official  2003 event logo, but perhaps representative of some of the unhappiness which led to the first cancellation since the conventions began in 1992.  Though the original plan was to hold the 2003 convention as another Epcot "Event" with a "Disney Smiles" theme, it was officially cancelled after Disney received a large number of complaints regarding the 2002 "Official Disneyana Mystery Event" held at Epcot.  Specifically, collectors were unhappy with the transformation of the usual Disneyana Convention held at the Contemporary Resort to an Epcot "Event."  It was the first time Walt Disney World Event Services relinquished most of the convention to a theme park management team (Epcot).  Though many enjoyed the 2002 Mystery Event, many were displeased with the logistical changes which led to squeezing a large number of events into small venues and many long lines outdoors in very hot temperatures.  After much thought, an official cancellation notice was given to collectors (shown below).  The cancellation was extended in January 2004 through the year 2005.  Collectors await a 2006 announcement.
